More about Evan Taylor Jones

Evan Taylor Jones on stage playing guitar and singing

Evan Taylor Jones has been performing professionally since 2012, after a life-altering injury ended a promising collegiate basketball path that included full-ride opportunities and interest from institutions like Harvard and Yale University.

After a torn labrum and broken collarbone sidelined his athletic future, Evan picked up a guitar — and never put it down.

Over the past decade, he has built a sustainable career across multiple genres, ultimately landing in country music, where he believes the themes of family, identity, faith, and purpose are best expressed.

Evan has performed:

  • At major venues including House of Blues

  • On national television for The Voice

  • As a featured performer at Disney Springs

  • At music festivals, concert halls, weddings, and private events all over the world

He has worked as:

  • A solo acoustic artist

  • 1 of 6 members in a professional a cappella group (refining vocal control and stage presence)

  • A wedding and private event headliner through agency representation

  • Frontman of both a 3-piece core band and larger ensemble

Since returning from the COVID shutdown in late 2021, Evan has steadily grown his private event and wedding business year after year.

His professionalism, preparation, and consistency have led to repeat bookings and long-term working relationships, including multiple collaborations with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Lakeland.

He performs regularly throughout Lakeland, Tampa, Plant City, Punta Gorda, and surrounding Florida communities.

Currently, Evan is developing a new country album that reflects his growth, maturity, and refined artistic direction.
